A storage system was installed for Frankfurt Energy Holding GmbH in 2018, which is operated in combination with a large PV system. This means that peaks can be capped both when drawing energy from the grid and when feeding it into the grid from the PV system. In this case, it is also planned to offer additional primary control power via a special metering concept, even though the storage system is integrated into the grid on the customer side. Frankfurt Energy is also planning to operate the storage facility as a buffer in parallel with an electrolysis plant in future.
