SMAREG 7

The medium-voltage (20 kV) SMAREG 7 connection to the LEW Lechwerke distribution grid is located in historic Monheim.
The storage facility has an output of 12 MW and can be charged and discharged with a total capacity of 14 MWh.

In addition to providing primary and secondary control power, it stores excess renewable energy and releases it back into the grid as needed.
