Smart Power realizes 220 MW pipeline for BCP Battery Holding
Turnkey realization of Germany’s largest storage platform
Smart Power GmbH, developer, project planner and operator of intelligent battery storage systems, has agreed with its long-standing partner B Capital Partners AG to sell a portfolio of 220 MW to the newly founded BCP Battery Holding over the next 12 months. The portfolio will be part of the largest battery storage platform of its kind in Germany. Smart Power will construct and operate the plants on a turnkey basis and market the capacities.
With the completion of this transaction, Smart Power strengthens its role among the top players in the battery storage market and will provide 220 MW for BCP Battery Holding. Thanks to multiple secured supply chains and a turnkey concept from site development to operation, Smart Power can complete the systems in a short time. Smart Power is currently building one of Europe’s largest battery storage facilities with a capacity of 60 MW for BCP Battery Holding in Eisenach. Commissioning is planned for the third quarter of this year.
Smart Power GmbH was renamed ju:niz Energy GmbH in June 2023.
ju:niz was founded by merging various companies from the GreenRock group of companies to create future-proof, integrated solutions for tackling the challenges of the energy transition and developing sustainable living spaces.
In the ju:niz Energy division, the activities of the battery storage and hydrogen specialists Smart Power and Green H2 will be continued and further expanded.
